A member of the citrus family, its name derives from the Latin amyron meaning "strongly scented", due to the oleoresin that exudes from its trunk.

Scent: Soothing, uplifting, and grounding. Softly balsamic, slightly sweet with a hint of vanilla. Consistency: Pale yellow, slightly viscous.

Blends well with: Sandalwood, Jasmine, Vetiver, Lavender, Grapefruit, Bergamot, Lime, Spikenard, Cypress, Cedar, Agarwood, Neroli, Patchouli, Hyssop, and Ylang.

Fixative in perfumes, colognes, body oils, deodorants, and aromatic blends. Toning in serums. Add a few drops to bath or diffuser as a relaxing and soothing oil. Use as a base note similar to Sandalwood.
